Never gave a fukk about DLC even if it's really good

Something in my brain prevents me from going back to a game once I've beaten it.

This is why, often at least, with games I know will have lots of DLC I wait for the Game of the Year Editions. With that said I won't be able to hold out that long for Fallout 4.

During, but you got to be at level 30 or higher. I beat the game a while ago and the dlc occurs in that pre ending state they put you in after beating the game. They make no mention of the og game. It's an all new quest and some quick side quests that have nothing to do with the main game.

I think it's separate story wise, but they recommend you be level 30+

there's also an option to play the expantion with a pre-made level 30 character

Just beat everything (except giving the ruinsmith 15k). Solid dlc. I give it an 8/10, mainly because the side quests were really short.

WELL worth $8 though

Now on to finding 15k and maybe getting the new armor

those steel and silver weapons you get at the end are fukking powerful as hell
