The Wire is leaps and bounds better than Breaking Bad. BB was amazing but it really only focused on Walter and his family. The Wire showed so many different angles and shyt from season 1 was still in play in season 5. One of the best written shows ever, IMO.

these are my top 2. you can name any season and i can tell you what happened in that season.. I can't do that with sopranos. it all blended in to me.

That's what I'm thinking, people bringing up the lack of realism as a point of critique against Breaking Bad when the Wire had a character like Omar running around for 5 seasons . If it was realistic Omar never would have made it past season 1. Stringer can take out anyone including his partner's well protected brother but not a hobo with a shotgun. Was Hamsterdam supposed to be realistic? .
