I feel you and know why, its just in the grand scheme of things, this shouldn't be a big deal. It shouldn't dominate headlines or have think pieces, I shouldn't see Skip and Shannon debating it on a sports show. People get slapped everyday. One of the things that is funny is comedians showing how full of shyt they are.

Whenever comedians are criticised for being offensive, the first response is that it is just jokes, they should have the freedom to say what they want, that they bring laughter to sensitive topics.

Whilst those points are things I consider, when comedians come out the woodwork saying shyt like "I would have said something much worse" and trying to twist the knife further, it betrays some of the things they say to defend what they do.

They should still be free to say what they want to say, but I think it is insincere of them to ask society to just treat it as jokes. Hard to take that approach when they recognise and use their platform to try and hurt others.

They say they would have said something worse because a member of their group was assaulted for saying something that is relatively mild. That creates anger and makes people say shyt like that.

You see it as twisting the knife because you see Will and Jada as victims, they don't see it that way. So this is only a betrayal because of your perspective.

will literally went from laughing, to mad, to cool guy walk off, to screaming quivering voice in 20 seconds. Then crying and dancing later on.

Everyone feels bad for will even if he was completely wrong. If will was a madden player, his awareness stat would be zero.

I didn't buy the in character bit off rip. Will noted a few a times he was done with method acting/or getting into a character to THAT agree where it would stick with you. He did it with 6 Degrees of Separation, and from his own mouth noted that it messed with his head/had him doing some things to match that psyche.

Unpunished public displays of violence against a black man, regardless of the perpetrator, should be a big fukking deal. Those of us with a functioning brain can care about gas prices and this simultaneously.

Just because you want to normalize it doesn't mean all of us want to play along. Brothers do all types of stupid shyt everyday, what's your point?
