The only point in the timeline where Chris Rock could have smacked Will and gotten away with it was right after Will smacked him. Nobody would have blamed him for it.

But a premeditated slap on TV in front of millions? Come on, breh. The people would turn on Rock and say that he's just as bad as Will

Yep Will was Cleon from dead presidents running off at his mouth after the crime instead of shutting up.

There is no benefit for Chris to run to Will's defense. He already did him a solid 3 times. One for not fighting back, Two for not snitching to the cops, Three for not unloading the clip on him at his shows this week. Chris has done more than enough for Will post slap....most folks wouldn't had done all of this (including myself).
