Hotline Miami 2 and Valiant Hearts are decent but not must plays. I'd cut both from your backlog honestly. :ld:

Trails of Cold Steel

Xenoblade Chronicles X and Disgaea 5 are on a temp hiatus until Cold Steel is finished. After those Fallout 4 and Rise of the Tomb Raider are up.

Just finished gauntlet:slayer edition.

Played it co-op with a friend. It was okay, pretty simple and old school arcadey. Don't think I'll ever touch it again.

Update:

Started and am like 1/3 of the way through '999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors' on my 3DS. For some reason I thought it was a story driven JRPG - I wasn't aware it was a visual novel, a genre I've never played before. Its alright, pretty interesting but some of the dialogue is terri-bad. Not sure I'll continue with the series after a finish this one. :patrice:

Also I'm like 1/3 of the way through 'Tales From The Borderlands' on Steam, it has even fewer gameplay elements than The Wolf Among Us, which is probably a strength as Telltale's gameplay stuff is pretty weak anyway. Basically I feel like I should be watching this on Netflix. Its all good though as the dialogue/presentation are both strong. :yeshrug:

Just finished Magicka 2.

Played it co-op (which is the only way you should play) and had a lot of fun. Its short, ~6 hours, 4 player local co-op is fukking insanity. Game is just pure fukkery start to finish playing with friends. The gameplay can be as simple or as complex as you want. Combining different elemental spells and trying out all the options was surprisingly deep.

7.5/10

I've been revisiting some old games during the holidays. Right now I've been playing the Final Fight games on SNES.
And for the record: Streets of Rage >>>>> Final Fight. Capcom sometimes has a reputation for coasting and recycling and the Final Fight franchise is a perfect example of that. The Streets of Rage series had much more personality and was more enjoyable.

You're playing one of the greatest visual novel games ever created. I'd like you to know that that game has multiple endings and imo they are ALL imperative and ONE of them is the true ending which really sheds light on the story and unveils huge twists that can leave you quite shocked. Finish it. Then finish it again(You can fast forward on your second and subsequent playthroughs.)

Man. I was blown teh fukk away by that story. I would easily say that the story in 999 is leaps and bounds better than most game stories. The sequel, ZE:VLR continues the plot with even more mind boggling twists and revelations that is left for the third game due this year. :wow: I blitzed through this game on my phone via an emulator. It was soooo damn good. Hell, you'll NEVER guess one of the big twists in the game. You won't literally get it until like the VERY end of the final true ending. You'll be like :mindblown:

Borderlands 2 is one of my favorite games of all time. I put hundreds of hours into it. I actually enjoyed farming legendary weapons, and I normally hate that shyt. The game is great. I miss my Maya :noah:
