This is where I am now with the album. I dapped a lot of posts in this thread that were ehh on the album or shytting on it for the pop feel as compared to earlier work. Then I got in the car with the wife and turned the volume up as we road around and the album hit. I was like this IS actually dope :ohhh:

did not feel this album
cant feel my face is my fav off the album
i also like losers, friends, the hills, and often. the rest is just meh and the poppy feel he put into it would have been better if it was a more cohesive project and was fleshed out like cant feel my face, but it's all over the place and just sounds like background music.

im not feeling the ultra love shyt, not because i just want to hear gangbangs and drugs(it's jarring to me when he goes overboard with those things) he's just not that great of a songwriter for this subject matter and it's not interesting.

Abel is surprisingly good at making songs that sound similar but illicit different feelings or that hits you entirely different when you're in different state of mind.

Acquainted and Prisoner are knockouts but I can see why someone would roll more with one or the other.

Honestly, i wish I waited to hear often and the Hills

Yup. I'm currently flip-flopping right now as I type this as to what's my favorite song on this album. I gravitated more towards "Tell Your Friends" at first because of the familiarity of it with his past work, but now? I really can't call it. "Shameless", "As You Are", and that "Acquainted/in the 90's" mash-up that was posted, are all great songs & for different reasons...

This album, just like his past one's, has some serious legs to it. I'll be listening to this all the way up until the next one drops.
