I enjoyed Season 7 and welcomed the faster paced action.

I did not anticipate them fukking up the last season like that tho. The Night King's death scene was hard, but the execution was trash. They showed all that shyt with Arya learning how to be a faceless assassin and we never see her use her abilities at all in the last season.

:what:

Dany's heel turn was done way worse tho, that was horrible and left me watching the rest of the show like...
:unimpressed:

I can't believe this shyt... OH and let's give Jamie and Cersei a love incest send off too with the rocks falling over them together. This show started off ruthless and ended so soft that I still can't believe it sometimes.

:snoop:

I even watched the documentary that the put out after the show went off for closure and I still didn't care. They wanted us to be empathetic of the conditions that they had to endure to produce the show and each season, but after watching how they wrapped things up, I was still like meeeeeeeeeeh

Bad writing that was meant to finish shyt as quickly as possible. Also...by creating the NK for the show, they made him so ridiculously powerful that virtually any death would have felt off. They just happened to pick the most off one possible.

Like, lets say Jon has a ten minute sword fight with him and murks the NK. Would that honestly be better? Nah. It would have to be some type of fantasy bullshyt to even make sense. Like...Bran reviving a bunch of dead Starks from the crypts, arming them with Valaryian steel, and it becomes a 5 on 1 battle - NK vs Jon with 3 dead Stark ancestors on his squad. Maybe it ends with Jon about to die, but the last Stark ancestor gets a glancing blow in and kills the NK (callback to how Ned survived the fight against Arthur Dayne).

I actually loved the night king episode. It wasn’t perfect by any means, but it was still greater than what any other show on TV can do. The only shyt I didn’t like about the NK death was that he clearly had time to react. He seen the knife dropping the whole way. Smh. It just could have been shot better really. Arya shoulda passed out when he choked her, then caught the knife at the last moment and completely caught him off guard.

I still love Arya killing him though. It was meant to be. This bytch marched through the whole series on some dark hero shyt. Killing off everybody who fukked over the fam. She was by far the best killer on the show. You pit her against any other character on some “let’s see who kills who first” shyt, she’s murkin everybody. Cause she knows how to get you when you least expect it. So to me, It was only right she got the final kill. Just could have played out better:yeshrug:

And that episode was dope how every character stayed true to who they were. Jon standing up to the dragon and and accepting his fate like a real soldier :wow:

The NK never wanted that one on one with Jon. His only mission was to get bran. And he knew Jon was the only one who could possibly stop him. The night king wasn’t concerned with no dikk measuring contest, he was just out to accomplish the mission :yeshrug:

But those final moments with the NK walking up to bran and those Ramin Djawadi keys playing in the background. shyt made my soul shiver :wow:

That episode was a 10 out of 10 to me. Shortcoming and all.

As far as the finale though :mjcry:......that shyt was a straight up sabotage. I know GOT wasn’t at their best anymore but they’ve never been comically bad. That finale was basically a GOT parody. Still can’t believe how they did the homie Jon. All of that character buildup for absolutely nothing :francis:

I just try to pretend that shyt never happened. I treat the Night King episode as the true finale :hubie:

I don't think enough credit goes to the production values on this show either. Yes, to me it means a lot. I am a big fan of cinematography and directorial decisions.

You can't name me many shows that are on this level production wise... If so, then please do..

They could have at least have jon kill the ice dragon.
It would have added to his legend at least.

Production values the show is #1.

Cinematography and directing? No where near the top. It was shot fairly pedestrian. I'd put something stuff like "BCS", "Mr. Robot" and "Fargo" leagues above it.

Hell, a few more shows above it too. "The Haunting Of Hill House" ep with several one take shots >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> "GOT" as far as camera work and cinematography.

That was another thing... Bran didn't warg into anything, breh just sat there.

They had set up so many possibilities with the Starks, and made it seem like they were going to comeback and reign down on mogs with their abilities, but what we got was just some regular shyt. It would have been cool if Bran warged into the NK's dragon or some shyt and helped his squad out... but nah, breh just sat there the whole episode chillin'
