DRAM fukked his own song up. The legal version on streaming sites and iTunes is missing the OG sample. The song sucks now

“Hotline Bling”: Drake Hijacked D.R.A.M.‘s “Cha Cha” & Made It a Hit - DJBooth

:mjcry: DRAM got talent too

Someone should compare that graph to when they replaced the beat everyone liked with the current bullshyt version

so that makes it ok for drake to steal it and act like its his own swag? :mjlol:
I'm not talking about Drake. People are blaming Drake for Cha Cha declining, when any song will decline over time especially if you 1) change the beat, and 2) if the song never gets a major label radio push. Same thing woulda happened to "Tuesday" if Warner Bros wasnt pushing it to radio.

I can't hear the similarities with the Caribbean/Latin feel to both songs, but honestly if Drake's song was not announced as the Cha Cha remix I don't think anyone would confuse the two songs. With that said Drake has been known to jump on beats and propel the tracks to another level(Versace, Tuesday) just as much as he's been known to straight jack beats(0 to 100) for himself. The Cha Cha Hotline conspiracy seems to fall in the middle of these two extremes. I like both songs. I don't see how Drake's can diminish DRAM's Cha Cha success.
