The Washington Bullets/Wizards haven't won 50 games since 1978-79

Will they ever win 50 games in our lifetimes again?

The closest I saw was the Cwebb squad that got swept by the Bulls in the first round in '97 and the Arenas squad that lost in the playoffs to that uncalled LeBron travel. "Crab dribble" :mjlol:
The 2015 and 2017 teams should have went to the conference finals. They were better than those two squads.

You could be right... I had long since stopped watching them and having expectations by that point, so I don't even remember. Was that with Paul Pierce?
2015 was PP yeah. They were up 2-1 on that 60-win ATL Hawks squad. John Wall broke his wrist in Game 1 win and came back for Game 5 (where the “big Bs bytch” meme comes from)

And 2017, they won 49 games and lost to BOS in Game 7 in the 2nd round cause Kelly Olynyk went off and Scott Brooks refused to stagger Wall and Beal.

I just don't know what it'll take to get this management to understand it's way past time to hit the reset button.

The way things are currently going, though, looks like the team at least might be ready to finally tap out on this season. You'd hope yet another year in lottoland might convince Ted and them. But it probably won't.

Stubborn and delusional is a toxic mix, especially in that position.

They are the most irrelevant team on the East Coast.. and Top 3 in NBA history.

Anyone who lives here knows it’s organizational issues. It’s like the Hawks except it’s a political city instead of an entertainment one. But theoretically, the DC area is a more than good enough market to get and keep stars.

At least imo, the Wizards are just a horribly run franchise.

:dwillhuh:

Hawks have multiple 50 win seasons plus a 60 win season in the last 10 years with 2 ECF appearances

I keep asking, if this team moved to Vegas, Seattle or @murksiderock’s beloved Raleigh, NC, would DC area people even know?

I wouldn’t be mad if that happens as long as we keep the title. Leonsis can take this organization anywhere he wants.

Wall was their greatest player ever.
