after war report and then dropping alluminati with imam thug i could have sworn tragedy was about to be raekwon status for real. the bars, the flow, the voice, mic presence, vocabulary and intelligence was crazy to me but we know the label issues & other shyt he got into. shame he got derailed.....
funny story i met tragedy in '96 when i was working on jamaica ave. i'm on my lunch break chopping up game with my old head coworker looking at all the shorties pass by and i remembered suddenly that i had to pick up a bracelet for my girlfriend. so i dip into the jewelry store and there is trag with one of his guys looking at medallions and what have you. so i wanted to give him respect being a fan since live motivator and simply say peace, plus give him props on the pete rock strange fruit joint that i'd heard on bobbito a week before. i call his name "excuse me tragedy?...." and before i could continue him and his mans whip around with the quickness and act like they're reaching for something talmbout "'SUP SON??" lol...
