Growing up in the south, this is one of those albums I wouldn’t have visited until I was close to or already an adult. We would stay with my big cousin from Memphis during the summer, and he was best friends with our cousin from Harlem.
His rap music collection was extremely diverse. I would browse all his tapes and CD’s looking for features I recognized and listen based on that. I listened to War Report based on the Mobb Deep, Busta, and Khadafi features, and loved it from front to back.
It’s such a fun and well balanced album for its time. A true classic and time capsule. I don’t know if it extended everywhere but so many of my friends fans of Capone and Nore’s energy in metro Atlanta.
