When they made it to Virginia and Everybody Hates Chris got ripped to shreds I hit the :camby: How many times were they supposed to meet a group of people, settle down there, realize the leader there is crazy, fight said leader, then have a zombie horde chase them out to a new place? shyt got stale really quick.

No Whammies!!
To be fair, I rocked with TWD 1st Season. I watched it for a few years, and then I just lost interest. It's made 10 Seasons and that's nothing to shyt on. Salute to them, I just found myself always going...
:jbhmm:

With the stories writing to the point where I was like I'm good.

I would love to see an apocalypse/zombie show on a premium channel where there isn't a main character that carries the show. And by that I mean, a show that focuses purely on survival above all. Where the viewer never feels like any character is safe. I think an anthology for a show like that would be dope too.

I think that would have the same problem TWD does IMO: There's no "goal"/endpoint they're working towards.

Actually, I guess it could kind of work if they do it this way:
all the stories run in parallel, and the earlier episodes end with everyone dying off.
But then as you watch more and more stories in the same world you realize that a cure will be discovered in 1 year from the start of the outbreak.
So then it becomes a race to see which members of which new group will survive to the end of the year period. Sometimes different "teams" get together in one episode, and sometimes they fight it out and eliminate each other. (so there's a little bit of an "elimination bracket" effect among the fans).
Then at the season finale the last few surviving members of each group get together in the 12th month and discover the cure.

Basically, its the Zombie Playoffs.

Negativity (Kayfabe)
they killed carl, the rick actor left for the movies, michonne is leaving this season and the maggie character bounced for a min too. not to mention all the shyt they changed from the comic for no reason to add shyt that sucks( terminator carol, the garbage pail kids, morgan just running from the walking dead to fear with dwight, leaving out michonne rape and revenge angle, turning tyreese beta af etc etc etc etc etc) i can see why people left

I jumped ship after this

I hate the philsophy behind the show

I hated how many fleets of cars and high powered guns they were able to maintain...GTFOH

BUT, no way in hell they'd ever be able to follow the comics...:merchant:it can get unrealistic, at times, but, they pull no punches at least the first 40 issues

Remembering when The Walking Dead premiered its first episode ever and thinking "Man....this shyt right here is amazing. This got next."

........and now we here. :unimpressed:
Once AMC tossed Jan De Bont they made their bed. They took the quanity over quality route. Most ppl won’t admit this but the show fell ever since the very first season. It will go down as one of the biggest “whAt could have been” had it been in better hands.

Are they building towards anything? Stop watching when ol boy got his noggin caved in.
I swear I’m not trying to jump on the bandwagon but this is exactly the time when I quit watching. Sundays would hit and I’d be like damn is there a show I’m supposed to be watching tonight? Oh well. I lost interest because each season was the same shyt.

they did that scene. even with trying to rape carl and etc . its one of the rare things they did well... still the show should stuck to the books it would have been better off instead doing shyt like having carol saving everybody in like 10 cases. or rick not knowing the governor is dead because nobody in his group killed him so he still haunted him from time to time. everything on this show gets wrapped up in a neat fukking bow which wasnt the point in the comic

Damn the governor never died in the comics? I know people that read the comics and watch the show be pissed off.

It amazes me how many people stopped watching after Glenn got murked. Smh. That was the best episode of the whole series. I was sad to see Glenn go but I was happy to see TWD finally grow some nuts. But they paid the price for coddling their fanbase for so long. All the soccer mom's got used to their favorite characters escaping death over and over. TWD needed to draw a line in the sand from the get go. Just like GOT let it known from the beginning that no character was safe from getting their head caved in.

Then after the backlash from Glenn being killed they went back to being the soft ass show they always were. But by then it was too late. They lost a good amount of fans, and the ones who remained just got tired of the same bullshyt writing every season. But looking back it was always an overrated show. You kept expecting it to ascend into greatness but it never did. They got lazy and took their fans for granted. I'm happy to see this shyt die.
