Wild how all of a sudden this year microsoft and their stans have no problem admitting Sony is the market leader, and how they absolutely need to spend 70 billion dollars (on top of the billions they’ve already spent the past couple of years) JUST to be competitive with Sony.

Chess move by Phil here because denying this deal results in less growth more competition because Nintendo is not in the market. However, getting COD on the platform could be a step in the right direction for competing in this market.
Huge big brain move, Sony and the CMA was trying to lil bro Nintendo as not really being something COD would be on because it's "too violent" aka they not really in the mature gaming space.
Only for MS, steam and Nintendo to all hammer out 10 year deals in no time.
This tells me that steam, and Nintendo have good relationships with MS.
Nintendo usually stays out of this kinda of thing. They didn't have to do a deal of any kind.
