Do honestly believe what Phil wrote in his book??

Kobe on Phil's request, tried to go back to what got them up 3-1 but the team con't playing like they did in games 5 and 6. Kobe came out aggressive in the 1st half...down by 15. Came out at half upon Phil's request to get others more involved...down by 25 going into the 4th.

Lebron quit when the game was still in question and up 2-1 and Kobe quit when his team was down 25 going into the 4th. Since U and other Kobe stans are so hell bent on saying Kobe quit, how are these two situations remotely the same or in even in the same ballpark?? Bron has went in a shell twice when his team has had a chance to win, Kobe has not.

Interestingly enough, I just happened to catch this interview earlier today.

Kobe said the game plan was to get everybody else involved offensively in order to boost their effort on defense.

That's what the man said, I'm just the messenger. :yeshrug:

YOUR STILL TALKING ABOUT STATS YOU DUMB ASS. HIM QUITTIN IN THE MOMENT WHERE IT COUNTS IS (ALL THAT MATTERS). I REMEMBER HIM ALWAYS DEFERRING TO MO WILLIAMS AND THOSE 38 POINT WERE SCORED IN 3 QUARTERS, WHEN HE WAS NEEDED IN THE 4 QUARTER HE WENT :ninja2::ninja2::ninja2::ninja2::ninja2::ninja2: AND BEST PLAYERS DON'T DO THAT.

Yes they do. Magic deferred often. Your teammates are supposed to make plays too. That's why "teams" win championships. Ask MJ what would have happened if Paxson was blowing them open looks.

Its a lot of white boys and smart dumb nikkas posting here I see. If a nikka giving you 38/9/9 nightly, and yall still coming up short, I gotta start pointing fingers somewhere else.

:snoop:

I can't believe yall nikkas are saying the Magic stopped Bron. He DOMINATED the Magic.

I can't believe yall nikkas are saying he wasn't clutch against the Magic. I don't remember every play exactly, but I do remember him hitting a buzzer beater from the top of the key to win game 2. Not that that's the only thing involved in being clutch but idiots who like to talk about clutch usually refer to last second shots only (see :skip:).

The fact is Orlando beat Cleveland because Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu were KILLING the Cavs from the outside. It had nothing to do with Orlando's defense and everything to do with their offense. Cleveland never relied on offense anyway, defense was the strength of that team and that's what failed them.

This does not count for anything cuz because it cannot be quantified statistically. :shaq2:

:what:He was the best player from 06-10. 08-10 it was no question he was the best with 2 chips and Finals apperance.

Kobe is actually underrated by the casual Kobe hater.

Best player each season since 2000: (Factoring in Reg Season & Playoffs)

00 - Shaq
01 - Shaq/AI
02 - Shaq
03 - Duncan
04 - KG
05 - Duncan
06 - Kobe/Bron
07 - Kobe/Bron
08 - Kobe
09 - Kobe
10 - Kobe
11 - Dirk
12 - Bron

This is misguided. The finals MVP isn't the best player in the league, in that case you should have Chauncey Billups and Tony Parker in there at some point.

It seems flawed to overlook the big picture just because Dirk and Kobe's teams won those years. LeBron's been the best in the game since 2008 and arguably since 2006.

:laff:

Bron has it in 2010 too. :heh: @ Wade.

Bron was better than Kobe in 09 too, but barely.

Wade's 2008-09 season is the best a SG has ever had not named Jordan. He had arguably the best season that year. I think him and LeBron we're head to head that year, and the stats show that, so what he said is fair.

If someone on this thread is just going to post in all bold huge caps that LeBron quit, and someone else is saying statistics have no crediblity, this thread really isn't going anywhere soon.

Um... No:usure:

Kobe's 06' and 07' were Better then wade's 09'. Hell 2003 Bryant was better then Wade

32 PPG 58% TS/5 APG/5 RPG anchoring the 7th rated offense> 30 PPG 57% TS/8 APG/ anchoring the 22nd ranked offense

And that's with garbage like Luke, Smush, Cook, Kwame Brown, Mihm. Playing major minutes

The quitting tak is inconclusive rhetoric. The only conclusive evidence of LeBron 'choking' is the 2011 finals, and even then we can find legends who have had terrible finals before (Bryant, Magic). I don't think one series determines who the best players are, goes into who accomplished the most that season, but is a small part of who the best player was.

This season, for instance, Chris Paul was better than Russell Westbrook, and Kobe Bryant was better than Manu Ginobili, but the other players teams went further. We place to much emphasis on team success when comparing individuals.

Bron quit in celtics series also. They were up 2-1 and he just tanked it the last 3 games

Lebron put up 21.3 ppg, 34% FG, 46.9% TS,

"but but he lost because of teammates"

Your only selecting pices that support your argument.

Wade in 09: 30.2 ppg, 7.5 apg, 5.0 rpg, 2.2 spg, 1.4 bpg, 30.4 PER, 57.4 TS%, 51.6 eFG%.

Bryant in 07: 31.6, 5.7 rpg, 5.4 apg,1.4 spg, 0.5 bpg, 26.1 PER, 58 TS%, 50.2 eFG%.

It's incredibly selective of you to use only TS, total points, and team offense to make your point.

Clearly Wade was the more productive player that year. The four point edge in PER shows us he was more productive. They're efficiency was about the same, as the TS and eFG we're close though.

Too many things go into team output for me to factor that in.
