Why do people continually say its not about the graphics its about game play like bethesda games dont have trash fukking game play? Compare fallout to any fps and the combat is laughably bad. Same with elder scrolls and any melee game.

Any game that's being made for a new gen should look immediately better than it's last gen counterpart. FO4 looks just a tad bit better.

That's not true, Ark was thrown together pretty quickly on UE4 and looks better as a multiplayer open world game with building elements to it. They've had years to work on this game.

I've been interested in Ark, but one thing that keeps me from buying are all the complaints about optimization

Decent game but it has some problems: terrible optimization...

Please... for your own safety, if you dont have the BEST computer out there DO NOT buy this game, the optimzation is sh!t in other words: You will be able to play with less than 10 FPS on low settings and then if you try to refund the game Steam wont give you your refund back.

However, the game is pretty cool from how I saw it.
Gameplay wise: 9.5/10
Optimization: 1/10

The game is not optimized in the least bit. My system easily bests the minimum requirements (and I mean to the point where it's silly to even question) yet my game lags and stutters with a top fps range of about 20 all while having the sound and sky effects off.

Spend hours gathering

Build tools, weapons, and a base to protect yourself

Die and have your corpse knocked under the map or inside of a rock

Lose everything you just spent hours on.

Rinse. Repeat.

Hardly warrants a purchase in its current state.

The game's not that terrible for Early Access but the constant desync, lag, performance issues, bugs, glitches and whatsoever just makes this fairly unenjoyable. Wait for it to get fixed, if it ever does.

Basically you need a bloody hell of a good PC , minimal specs won't do it at all, even if your specs are twice of the minimum requirements, You still can't play on low settings with a good fps.

also a multiplayer sandbox tends to be more about the interactions between players, which is rather different from the types of worlds found in bethesda games
