I don't know too much about Liberia, but I don't see why that couldn't be the site of AA migration if it were to happen. West Indians and Afro-Latinos would prolly have to go there too or maybe to other places that provide stable environments and opportunities. With all the spending power blacks got here they could turn Liberia out and make that their Israel. I'm sure I'm making this all much more simpler than it would be. But imo while its good to trace your ancestry back to the country of origin and tribe I don't think it changes the fact that black people here and all through the Americas are in a sense "new tribes" since they're the result of many different groups of Africans (along with some mixture from non-black groups) to make one new group. New customs, new ideals, new everything exclusive to its people. That's not to say there's no kinship between Africans of the West and Africans of the continent, just that its ignorant not to acknowledge the differences. I think with those differences the idea of "nation" should be new too. Liberia was the land freedmen and former slaves from America went to colonize in Africa, English is the primary language, names are mostly American, and the government is of the same style. Seems sensible for American tribes of Africans to call Liberia their nation if they chose to actually claim it, or Africa, at all.
