There are people in those stop the violence rallies who personally lost sons, daughters, parents, family due to violence. I'll never question the purpose of those rallies. That's pain I wish to never experience.
I’ve always said look at who organizes these types of events, then follow their moves afterward. Most of the time they benefit greatly while the community stays the same.

I listened to him for a little, but he is full of shyt saying that black communities don't really have elevated levels of violent crime, and that black folk are merely charged for crimes more than whites.

The folks participating and organizing those rallies either are misguided or in denial. It's their sons, brothers, cousins, uncles, friends, etc., committing the violence. Blame WS all you want, but most violence is intraracial. Folks got more energy for cops out of pocket than the nikka down the street. The only code they know is when police start asking questions.
