What do you expect the return to be for Simmons?

I dont think a deal with us happens but not because of the package necessarily. We not parting with lavine for him makes no sense. But also I think Philly would want more veteran players than Lauri and coby.

But imo unless some team works out a 3 team deal that works for all sides, I can't see Simmons being traded. Unless it's some shyt like westbrook for Simmons straight up.

I definitely think he’s getting traded but for a star caliber talent if they can’t get that then they’ll try to fix his offensive issues. Lavine is all the bulls got , vuc obviously don’t fit with them

Simmons issues are mental , they still may try to change his form & keep him but knowing morey I think he’s gone ,Simmons was already offered for harden. They have to maximize embiids window , dude stays injured.they may be desperate to get his contract off the books to free up space for Lowry and/or derozan etc that’s about the only hope for the bulls. Just sign lonzo instead it’ll be cheaper and at least he can shoot + do similar things Simmons does

I agree with the lonzo signing. Rather have Lonzo for nearly half the cost and lonzo has shown he is willing to improve.

philly. Morey gonna want lavine , Simmons value may be low right now but I highly doubt this enough. Simmons pops taught him to shoot left handed ,dude right handed he eats right,scored more(lay ups,hooks etc)right handed,writes right handed , but it’s in his mind to shoot left. If they can change his shooting form to his natural hand & make him an below average shooter that can at least take & make an open jumper/3 then he’s an all around beast it’s all mental. Morey star chases he’s gonna try to get Beal or something like that

Simmons isnt bringing you a star anymore, dudes been exposed. Maybe he could get somebody like CJ McCollum but his value has definitely decreased. He's a high value role player with severe deficiencies. You can see oh he's only 24 but in reality he is a 5 year vet who doesnt seem to want to or thinks he needs to change his game. Is it mental or he just stubborn/lazy? The youth excuse is just that....an excuse. You have to want to maximize your skills and Ben seems more focused on gaming and dating pass-arounds

Well, even considering that, the dynamics of how Zach and Vucci sharing the court are very different from Steph and KD. Steph and KD are 2 of the greatest shooters and scorers to play the game, wouldn't say that about Zach and Vucci.

Here's another thing that can't be missed, and this aspect of the game in particular is why Draymond can even be on the floor sometimes, Steph is also probably the greatest off-ball player the game has ever seen. They run a disciplined offense that has a lot of movement which creates lanes for Dray to read the defense and allows him to be effective. I haven't seen any indication that we can or will replicate that, and with Vucci being a 5 he's going to find himself being a screener and a decoy rather than a guy you're freeing up via movement.

Lastly, your team's halfcourt offense natively becomes slower if one of your best players is a center and one of the slower guys on the court. Your team takes on the identity of your best players. However, to make the most of Simmons you want to get in transition and move fast, I don't see it, it's a clash of styles. My verdict? Stay away, far away from Ben. unless we somehow fleece philly

Agreed. Ben needs a faster, transition offense.....pairing him with slow ass Vucci....doesnt make sense.

This is more frustrating because if you're Joel playing on a torn meniscus and you know Ben is basically on bullshyt and damn near trolling the team and city by refusing to score, its a problem.

Philly runs the risk of pushing Joel out by not addressing this. Doc appears to be done, Morey already wanted him gone for Harden, Joel lost confidence in him, his time in Philly is up because if you run it back and bro is out there the exact same player, that locker room is going to be toxic as fukk

if Ben shoots them x misses in the play offs ..people will.look at him like .. he outta pocket wtf was he thinkin playin that way or shootin that way NOW ??


doc should have had him more featur3d in the offense earlier in the season, or throughout the year leadin up to play offs to find a rhythm anyways ....( at the very least )

I certainly dont want to move Zach for Ben, but Im just saying, we arent going to be getting him for some Coby/Lauri package

the way we are currently constructed, we would have to include Zach or Pat in a the deal (not saying I WANT to do that, just the reality of what it would take for us to make the move)

there is a definitely a middle ground between Harden & Coby White - Ben's value has dropped but people are talking crazy like they wouldnt even want to touch his contract
