Not really mad at losing a 8th pick

If we had our pick and it was 8th I would be more disappointed. Rather have Vucevic than the 8th pick and we get rights to our pick next season.

It's all on AK to get things done through free agency and trades. It is what it is

He won't. I lost all trust in him with that dumb as vucevic trade. You make moved like that when when have a contender and are getting over the hump. We have way too many holes to do a deal like that.

8th pick in the draft for an all star big that gives you 22/12/4:manny:

Would've loved to jump up, but I'm not losing sleep over that deal.

and is one of the worst defensive players in the league, and is over 30.

How is wanting better lottery odds complaining to complain

it’s math

“math” didn’t work out for the bulls in ‘19 but luck did in ‘20 since the lottery drawing was reformed.so what the point in complaining?it’s luck & it wasn’t on their side tonight

It’s literally not luck, it’s math. I don’t know what’s wrong with wanting the highest probability of keeping our pick once we knew the season was over. It would have been nice to have better odds tonight, that’s all.

That being said once we made the trade the pick was out of sight out of mind anyhow, so I’m not really sweating not keeping it. It shouldn’t alter the plan the front office has in place because they should have never expected to keep the pick once they traded it.

since the reformed lottery the worst record in the nba all dropped 3x(Knicks,warriors,rockets)and teams with lower odds(lakers, grizz,Pelicans, hornets, bulls)all jumped into the top 4.literally 5 teams with the strongest odds dropped , again it’s luck but we can agree to disagree vuc better than any player going 8th :yeshrug:

2 trains of thought

8th pick dont move the needle , :hubie:

but would. a trade

combo of say the 8th pick , carter , coby and or lauri .. would that have netted us ben simmons ..:manny::jbhmm:

secondly our odds of makin any significant moves through trades are probably hampered now since we dont have a quality pick..let alone a pick at all

not like we exactrly sellin high on guys like.lauri x coby with his injury:shaq2:

I can take solace knowing this pick was never in our plans and AK shouldn’t have counted on it as an asset to improve the team, meaning he should have a full plan to move forward this offseason. Lots of work to do this summer

I'm not too mad about losing the pick. It feels like we've had a thousand 7ths/8ths and they haven't really amounted to anything. Just gotta take what we have and work with it next year. Hope for a more aggressive Pat and more continuity, maybe even a big Coby jump.

No disrespect breh, but is Ben Simmons the new Lonzo Ball where suddenly he's the missing piece to a championship caliber squad? :mindblown:

What is the fascination with Ben in here? :russ:
