The suburbs will never be dead in the U.S.A. The thing is there are more areas that are becoming fukked up like the major cities used to be but, there are still good suburban areas. You will always have people who want space, and quietness, that the cities can't offer. They don't mind going to the hot areas but, not live there. Even if they wanted to there will never be enough space.
If anything, the people who have to live in these bad areas will have it worse then being in the cities because, now they will not be seen in the media with their suffering that they may go through. Like the saying goes, out of sight out of mind. When problems were in the cities, the media, and government, had no choice to but to acknowledge it, if it is in the suburbs that is separated from the good parts, they will be on their own.
