I know I'm asking too much, but they're totally inconsistent in the way they handle vampire worm blood. "Red shirt" guys get splashed by a few drops of blood and get infected by worms, but the named characters armored by the plot can chop vampires up at close range with swords and somehow ninja dodge all the worms.
