How successful have his last couple of movies been? Maybe he just hasn't been earning profits lately, in which case, I'd say just wait until Oldboy drops and if it's a hit...funding won't be a problem. Also, like the one dude said, he didn't really pitch the film and I'm not donating just because it's Spike Lee.
Veronica Mars cacs does it, it's great fundraising; Spike does it, it's "nikka get ya hands out my pocket"

I understood Spikes criticsm but it wuz way too harsh and disrespectful and elitist...personally Spikes movies always been overated to me too....but he does what he does and has had a couple good movies...X coulda been better and deserves another remake...you exactly right,they do want people to hate TP and its workin...Kevin Hart was inspired by TP he said as well and did it himself....its not that easy I know but take a page out the mans book and respect his hussle...gotta love black actors is getting work and not just having to play criminals on law and order or gettin fuked Halle Berry style on sum random straight to dvd hood flick...ol girl from Coming To America on Belly2
