What about all the Black people that been getting murdered by cops in Minnesota?That was an extraordinary event, but hardly representative of the north. The distinction I’ve drawn between the north and south meant to highlight the superior quality of life for black people - stronger safety nets, better education, less violence, etc.

Plenty of racist flyover states in the North. Go to Vermont, North Dakota, anywhere in Wisconsin outside Milwaukee and let me know how that shyt goes. The KKK and Nazis still roam out there
Even the big cities up North have bad crime rates in Black areas. Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit, Flint, Cleveland, Toledo etc and the disparity between white and black income is some of the worst in the country up there

It is but there are two deal breakers. First public transportation sucks in the south. Second, "a lot" of areas in the south don't have job markets that can keep up with the cost of living. That perception is flawed becuase it's usually people already with money moving down there which is cheaper for them.
Too many broke northerners moving down South thinking shyt is going to be sweet. Atlanta is for the hustlers and movers and shakers. Broke boys and gals need not apply.

When I mention the “north,” I’m referring to the northeast. My frame of reference is born from my experiences living in Massachusetts, which is considered to be the most progressive state in the country. I’m by jo means grouping it among the likes of Michigan or Wisconsin or Illinois or any number of other states that are geographically north, but not located in New England and its surrounding areas.
