I had to quote this again. Just the fact that Tony's voice was getting hoarse the more he talked. "Can't take him out until after dark, so......we'll cut him right here." And then his little smile with the gesture. :dead:

What was interesting to me is that Tony trusts a junkie (Chris) over Silvio cause Silvio is more trustworthy and more loyal.

If Tony called Paulie, he's def gonna run his mouth to someone if he has a problem with Tony like he already did. I don't see that with Silvio and he would def keep the secret.

Tony trusts Christopher who is a fukking JUNKIE!

I think he did that because he just broke the mob rules, killing a made guy without permission. He needed someone who was afoul of mob rules as well for help. If he called Sil, Sil might hold Tony accountable. When Albie was saying to a group of mobsters Tony was out of pocket killing Ralph over a horse he was talking to a group that included Silvio and nobody disagreed with what he was saying.

Sil was even against Tony punching Ralphie.

"She wasn't your goombah, and she wasn't blood...Ralphie has a legitimate beef Tone"

I know he broke the mob rules but let's be real everybody breaks the mob rules. Chrissy is a shyt head junkie that fukked up alot but
he has also proven to be fiercly loyal to Tony. He may make mistakes, but I feel like Tony knows he can trust him to keep his mouth shut. It also helps that Chris is relatively low on the pecking order and also, he's family. It seems no matter what had gone down between the two of them, Chirs would always keep this situation quiet. I felt like Tony knew Chrissy would never dare mention it or raise up questions on it but to trust a JUNKIE? that's too risk. In this business mostly people don't trust JUNKIE like Chrissy. In Breaking Bad just like Walter and Jesse when Gus told Walter that he doesn't want junkie in his business.

Probably because Silvio would understand the gravity of the situation more. And realize T is a shytty leader and will bring the Gang to ruin..he would've realize the downfall and may have slowly set himself up to get away from them cleanly.

Perhaps...

Tony appreciated Sil, liked to hear his advice and perspective. But he never was ok with Sil seeing his flaws, and how much of a selfish person he was. He felt he could control Chrissy, and knew he had something over him (him being a junkie etc.) Plus, none would side with Chrissy over Tony.

BUT, Tony knew there would be those who would side with Sil over him possibly (especially New York) So, Tony never fully trusted Sil.

Don't think Tony ever forgot/forgave when NY wanted to clip his cousin, and Sil basically was saying it should be done.
