Um NO she didn't CoCo was 100% out of line Meadow was doing nothing but minding her business. Coco knew who she was and he started the whole thing. Tony was right if he would've killed CoCo he would've had support across the board you dont tell a boss of a family's daughter you gone bust a nut on her face and tuck her into bed and not get a severe beatdown.

And the war really started when Phil whacked Vito, that was Tony's job and it was already in play. You cant kill a made member of another family without permission from that family that's why Tony said Phil knew he couldn't brag about it. Tony didn't want the war he placated him at every turn he even reminded Christopher that Phil had 200 soldiers in his family. He even went to see Phil in the hospital to make peace it was Phil who never respected anyone from Jersey once he became boss.

Tony was born in 1959 (according to Wikipedia) but when the FBI questioned Carmella she said he was 3 in 1963. Janice was probably two or three years older so 49 or 50 sounds about right. Seems strange that she could get pregnant naturally at age.
