Yeah, And I think he got made after some people started falling off/dying/getting locked up. Forget exactly who it was but Ray, Eugene, Ralph, and Vito all started falling around the same time.
His dad was a str8 killer and junior wanted him made and he was the boss even if just in name lol

Idk I could’ve sworn I saw a scene where junior tells Tony it’s time regarding Bobby. I always thought that was junior telling Tony that Bobby was to be made and he starts coming around more. Although this could be wrong and it could’ve been junior telling Tony to get Bobby more involved (already as a made man). Idk what season that is it may have been the season before Christopher gets made (season 3), im not sure though. After reading your comment I did a google search and theres posts on Reddit saying that Bobby was already made wen the series started or before he made an appearance in the show.

Bobby...besides being a bit goofy and the appearance, he was very competent and by the end it looked like he was the most effective member of the crew. Being the brother-in-law helped but he didn't get the promotions just because of that. Tony respected his mind, demeanor, how he handled shyt etc.
I need to rewatch again soon. Just thinking about how the crew slowly got weakened to the point they just couldn't handle what they got hit with. The highest earners and best money men kept getting clipped for fukkery (Ralph, Vito). Chris getting on drugs again. Paulie never developing beyond a petty, aging gangster that didn't offer jack shyt. Plus the unlucky stuff that happened, like Gigi dying on the toilet lol. Basically all the top earners and smartest guys were gone by the end. It was just Silvio and Bobby left holding down the fort for Tony.
