I was breaking down that shyt forever too... my reason for disagreeing with Tony got shot was pretty simple and it goes by how the shots were in that scene too

Every time someone came into the door and you heard the bell in that scene, you saw from Tony's POV

The last shot "last bell" you're seeing Tony... so you're seeing from AJ's POV as he was across the table from him, then it goes black

So in my mind it's AJ that gets popped in front of Tony and Mella and Meadow (after 45 mins of trying to parallel park)

If they kept with Tony's POV then you would've seen AJ and then black

man I’ve seen the series about 7 times and for some reason can never get to the last two episodes , that’s a dope breakdown.

Thats the one thing people don't get about the sopranos, shyt was more of a comedy than a drama.

The hard cuts to new scenes are underrated aspect of the show.

Damn shame Tony didn't realize something might be up. In his mind he had "won" the war, after learning of Phil's death. That should have been it...but I could have imagined that if Tony was in a better mindstate he would have laid low longer. I'm not saying this was bad writing BTW, Tony wasn't omnipotent and being that weighed down mentally caused him to slip up when he thought shyt was safe.

Given the way how disrespectful Phil was whacked ,Tony was stupid for being so comfortable afterwards.

Dude gets popped in front of his grandkids and wife then head run over.

How can NY really let that go?

1. chase, the creator said something like they were going to have the Russian get found by a group of Boy Scouts and have no idea what happened to him

2. never confirmed but tony still was shipping the zips back n forth so I’m assuming he dropped the furio thing to keep a solid relationship with that Camorra clan. Plus I think furio was the boss’ cousin

3. The actor playing paulie had it in his contract that his character could never be a snitch/rat. So paulie def was not a rat to LE but he was a snake and could’ve backdoored Tony to NY with patsy to have tony killed and be on a solid standing w new regime in NY ie Butchie

2. Yeah furio and the boss “on the other side” are cousins I believe.. same as tony and the boss I thought.

3. The sequence when paulie gets home from Florida with Tony and he sees big puss in the kitchen and paulie asks himself “when it’s my time, will I be a stand up guy?”

just cause he “didn’t rat” on camera doesn’t mean he wasn’t cooperating... remember tony still knew he ratted to John about Ralph’s joke about Jenny Sac’s 95 lb mole removed from her ass
