The entire party has to shift. At the moment the Democratic Party is going more right. I wish the GOP would go more Centrist because I tend to agree with some of the economic policies of the Republicans but I tend to be more of a 90s Centrist (think Clinton Era).

What economic policies breh

Never forgot these q-tip headed ass mfers defrauded the US taxpayers out of hundred of millions of dollars during Covid with a feed the children scam. Of course they'd be attracted to a shiesty conman grifter like Trump

When I get taxed I wonder WTF am I getting taxed for? We have special elections for ordinances on raising taxes for certain things. This election we had a prop for raising money for education, which I agree in Texas is not the most well funded so I voted for it. Then again in some places there's enough money but they're using it frivolously.

I've also seen some propositions to raise money for animal shelters which I was against because we have a homeless problem that we should deal with. I do wonder where our money is going. That also means stuff like us spending too much for the military.

Just curious but economic policies like what? IMO Dems are playing more of a moderate role. They'll say what republicans are doing is terrible but won't address issues head on.
I answered above but I will also add I don't think we should increase the capital gains tax and Democrats have been proposing that. Also let's not tax tips. I know Trump proposed it and Kamala adopted it though.

I do agree that Republicans are bad at spending too but as I mentioned the Democrats are straying away more left policy wise.

So basically you dont understand how taxes work and thus youd like them to be lower, which you for some reason believe the Republicans would do despite this having been proven false through eg. tariffs

Say less

I didn't say all that nor did I say I wanted taxes lowered. I want less spending on certain parts of my spending which I find ineffective or inefficient.

I stated Republicans are bad at spending too. Look at Bush era and what we spent on the military.

Also - if I hold these beliefs in terms of how I wanted MY tax dollars spent compared how you see it, who gives a fukk? This is why we vote elected officials to work for us.

Too much on military spending. At least from what I've seen Bush era. I know some of their tax breaks tend to help the wealthy and they want to cut some institutions that support the people though. This is why I think they could move more centrist because the Democrats appear to be moving more left.

TBH some Republican tax breaks tend to benefit me and a good bit of my family if we're being honest but I have 'voted against my own interest' voting Democrat in the past.

If you think a few bucks in your own pocket at the cost of an increasing homeless problem and wealth divide, the crime and public health issues that come from thjs, with a police force that is unaccountable to anyone, if you think that a couple bucks benefits you then I guess I don't have anything more to say.

I didn't say a homeless shelter was a problem breh. There's folks here wanting to spend money on ANIMAL shelters when we have homeless people who need services!

Two years ago the ballot had a proposition for more dog parks and stuff. I'm #Dogset and all but WTF :gucci:

We also have a problem with people gentrifying Black communities so OF COURSE I want to see where my money is going and taxes. I also donate to causes that help us so if I have more money going to that I think it's money well spent compared to some of these fringe propositions.

The additional money for republican tax cuts comes from stripping away the social net, causing homelessness, mortality and ultimately crime.
