Darius Rucker never fooled me either. It's hard to hide a black voice, it doesn't matter the genre, most singers have some roots in the church. Speaking of which, those white college kids singing gospel broke my brain.

Back in the 70’s and early 80’s, white guys had soul. They actually studied and learned from the best Black musicians. A lot of them even had Black musicians play on their albums. And On the flip side, a lot of them wrote/played for some popular Black artists.
