The show "How I Met Your Mother" irks me.

Dude, I DO NOT for the life of me understand how or why that show is popular, and furthermore, gets positive critical acclaim

Because it appeals to those critics. A majority of them are jewish nerds just like Chuck Lorre.

i hated the show at first because ted as a main character is like that annoying friend you have who constantly brings along the girl he is currently simping and always has to get his way no matter how annoying it is for everbody else. i got into it after some time because the writing is actually pretty complex for a sitcom with all the flashbacks, fast forwards and subtle hints at coming events. however, i think by now the show has jumped the shark and they should have ended it a couple of seasons earlier. they also shouldn't have stubbornly tried to be original by not making robin the mother and just have had her end up with ted (or at least introduced some other girl earlier in the show). what's the point of having the whole show focus on ted searching for the love of his life if the watchers can't invest in the love story because they don't know the girl.

I think that's what killed the show. When you have a main character who can't carry a show you have to focus way too much on the side stories.

CBS Comedies are the drizzling shyts. Only one I paid attention to was 2 broke girls and that was because of Kat Dennings t*ts.

One pf the things that made i dope to me was that for all of the simpin Ted does, his friends NEVER let that slide. They come at his neck constantly about that. The only thing that made the show tolerable the last couple of years were the way they act like real friends.
