The show "How I Met Your Mother" irks me.

Writing is solid, acting is on point, good mixture of drama/comedy and it's basically the story of how a simp gets over a girl. I see no problem with it.

Well, that's ur opinion I guess. To each their own, but in my eyes, the show is so corny it just angers me. Also, why doasen't he get to the freaking point? Tell us who u finally married and STFU!!! If that was my pop I woulda told him to get to the darn point a long time ago.

Because it's about the journey not necessarily the destination, like a lot of good stories are.

They did some promo vid like that at Comicon with the kids on the couch telling Ted to get to the fukking point, theyre already adults now, cursing his ass out and everything.

It was way better than anything that actually ever happened on the shytty show.

I never use the word "hater" cause it's fukking stupid, but this is hating. I've watched this show from season 1, and let's just say it was a great show back then, there's a REASON why it penetrated culture. It was THAT good and THAT original.

In the later years, sure but they weren't "trying" to do anything*. It was just a character's shtick. Perhaps you should type you're tired of cornballs overusing the catchphrases to death in the first place, because that would be accurate.

*when the show ran out of ideas it did become a parody of itself, but that's besides the point

I don't think I've ever seen a TV show that actually makes me angry when I watch it. How I Met Your Mother does. They're all so corny and the plot lines are so stupid. I just want to beat up the entire cast.

I've been watching it now and then cause I had nothing better to do and I just find it so annoying. Also the fact that it takes Ted like over 8 years to finally tell his freaking kids how he met the mother. Probably the worst show on TV at the moment.

Not any more. I started watching it a few months ago, I thought I'd give it a try. I must have seen about 50 episodes altogether? Maybe less. So anyway, after a while it started to really irk me so I stopped watching it.
