Zelensky is a centrist and will be a post-war hero, and his party will be seen as the number 1 party in Ukraine for years to come. I wouldn't worry too much about it the far-right legit taking over in Ukraine, particularly as they are anti-EU, and Ukraine will badly need the EU's money post-war.
How?
The training and logistics and will to fight is greater in Ukraine..Russia can't compete militarily..
Only play they have is Nukes .
I just said how. Ukraine is begging now for weapons , so if Putin can cripple the U.S. and Nato - it will help tremendously
You saw he can hit targets with precision , Nukes is not his only play
*fixed*

The Azov Regiment of 2022 bears little relation to the ragtag militia the Azov Battalion of 2014, formed from a few dozen football hooligans, and – yes – far-right extremists.
Crucially, in late 2014, Azov was absorbed into the Ukrainian National Guard, allowing greater state oversight, with considerable attention paid to cleansing the ranks of far-right elements, in what should be recognised as an example of successful deradicalisation.
The Azov Regiment has been repeatedly reconstituted; its extremist early leaders such as the odious Andriy Biletsky are long gone, and, more recently, its fearsome, pseudo-pagan regimental emblem has been abandoned.
Both Shekhovtsov and Gomza describe Azov as “depoliticised”, with Umland writing “its recruits now join not because of ideology, but because it has the reputation of being a particularly tough fighting unit”.
Nonetheless, Russian state media makes endless reference to the diabolical “Azovtsy” to justify its brutal invasion of Ukraine.
The Neo-Nazi capital of Europe? Do you TLR brehs get paid more for narratives that are extra inaccurate? The reality is this generation has been infantalized so much that people treat every news story like it's Star Wars. Like there's a good side and a bad side.
They see Ukraine as the innocent underdog when the fact is it's the neo Nazi capital of Europe and they're being backed heavily in the west and being used as a pawn in a proxy war against Russia.
They were close to coming to terms with Russia some months back but their Western backers hit them with the
The West doesn't give a fukk about the dead Ukrainians or their country being destroyed and is freely sending weapons to a country with some very dangerous militias and fringe groups. We seen how that ended in Iraq.
Now of course that doesn't excuse Russia's actions. Putin is a piece of shyt and for the good of Russia and the world he should be merked.
The whole situation is a shyt show but the media portraying it like it's a battle between good and evil but the last war that could really be described that way, maybe the only war, was WWII.
I wanted to post Goodmans interview with Joe Lauria which details the US training of Ukrainian troops for the past 7 years relating to the @Benjamin Sisko comments but this is more relevant to the thread. I was wrong to be flippant about the outcome of this war, negotiated peace is the best way forward because it opens the door for other nations to solve the issue of US political interference. In this interview Vijay Prashad also draws parallels between Ukraine and the Core Group in Haiti which was eye opening and very personal to me.
Chomsky: In this case, the United States is not directly involved. It’s not bombing, hasn’t sent troops. It’s more indirect. So I don’t think it’s very surprising, in comparison with the others, that you don’t see much of a peace movement developing. You should. It’s there. But it’s vilified, of course. Anyone who opens their mouths and says, “Look, let’s try to end this horror” — the way most of the world wants, almost all the world — gets denounced, vilified, a “Putin supporter” and “commie rat,” and so on and so forth. And it’s even true for highly respected major war criminals, like Henry Kissinger. He tries to say it, immediately demonized. So, yes, it’s there, but it’s marginalized.
And the issue, I don’t think, is sending defensive weapons to Ukraine. I think that you can make a good case for that. The problem is what is not discussed: the continual — first of all, the long — program of the United States, for over a decade, to integrate Ukraine within the U.S.-NATO military system. That actually reached a point where U.S. military journals referred to Ukraine as a de facto member of NATO — obviously, the Russians could see it; everybody could see it who wanted to — policy which is now being pursued with regard to Taiwan. And then extending to the point where it is right now: War must continue until Russia is severely weakened. The implication? No negotiations. Events of last April are a case in point.
Well, there should be — there’s no — there are parts of the peace movement that are pursuing that, but they’re simply demonized. They don’t make it into the mainstream. Even parts of what’s called the left condemn them sharply. Of course, you have to — you can’t put any conditions on unconditional support for Ukraine.
