How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
I admit I didn’t think he had the nuts/hubris to do it after the whole world knew what he was going to do and how he was going to do it. It must have been terrifying for those crossing the border knowing everybody can see your movements.
Way more hubris than bravery/nuts, though. The whole nuclear weapon thing, too, some may call it brave to come out with that shyt, but it all depends on if you consider suicide brave. The results of this, good, bad, or ugly are tied to Putin for good now. He can't win, overall, and when its done, he is cooked. We are going to see soon if he is his own man, or if he is controlled by a committee of oligarchs :lupe:

Except Russia needs Ukraine to be intact. How is he going to get money from its resources if he has to spend money to get the resources.

Ukraine has no extensive resources, nothing that Russia is in need of. They went into Ukraine for what they argue as security threat to them, to stop Nato expansion.

Ukraine has mad oil and gas reserves they just don't have the means to extract it, some of it is off shore as well.
If Ukraine actually started extracting fuel and exporting it to Europe that would cut into Putin's pockets.

Ukraine has access to the black seas and a lot of untapped gas reserves and can grow food Russian land can’t. But you need roads, ports, pipes and people to move it.

Installing a puppet government is meant to allow you to set the rules on how those resources are used.

I haven't posted in this thread at all and I'm gonna be as objective as possible.

This is very obviously not going the way Putin, or hell honestly....anyone originally envisioned it.

Look at the moves against Russia now, vs when this first started.

Day 1 the whole world was essentially like
rDpQOao.png
when Ukraine asked for help.
Now Russian OnlyFans thots are begging for hand outs because their economy is fukked.

Putin thought this shyt would be a cake walk and it clearly ain't.

Kinda sad to see Russia go out like this. They were a staple villain of damn near every 80's action movie.

Went from

though, hate to see it.

Yep, Putin's goal is not economical, it's geopolitical. He knows he's gonna take an economical L. But he thinks that the goal he's pursuing is more important, it's vital.

Ukraine is a broke country and extremely corrupt, more broke than Bielorussia. Taking Ukraine is taking a huge economic burden for a russian economy that is already flabby.

He's not there for economic reasons.

It also narrows the range NATO can invade Russia. Russia geographically is extremely exposed and on flat land, hence why they build up so many tank battalions.

Honestly, from what I can see Russia invaded Ukraine for a number of reasons; black sea access, oil tariffs, Soviet reunification, ethnic tensions, limiting resource distribution, NATO membership. Putin just significantly miscalculated. It's not helping he's apparently not talking to anyone.

I’m not sure how you can watch what is going on and see that invading certain country is 20th century tactic. Invade a Iraq or Afghanistan cause you don’t care about the infrastructure cause you are going to rebuild it anyway.

Drones, long range missile, and digital misinformation are the new stage.

Putin strategized for an invasion in 1999.

Not necessarily

he put a tiny invasion force together

clearly he expected Ukraine to collapse right away
