Russia knows the terrain very well

That doesn’t really matter when you’re fighting block to block in a very dense urban arena. A lot of the attackers advantages get taken away in situations like this. You may still advance but it’s really going to hurt. There may not even be a real cordon set around the city or any blocking positions adjacent to the assault.

I think we may see (depending on if the world is still able to watch) a change in the kinds of units assaulting the city. More mechanized infantry, more heavy spetsnaz, and more Chechens, etc. all having to bash their way forward figure it out on the fly (Urban combat in a nutshell). In the most extreme urban fighting every inch forward can feel like a victory in itself. Hopefully something can halt this shyt until tomorrow, maybe a little more embarrassment will help bring Putin and his cabinet to the negotiating table.

Your only backing for those claims were bullshyt from your neo-Confederate historian book and widespread disgruntlement with Lincoln DURING the war because White Northerners thought it had gone on too long and didn't want to keep losing hundreds of thousands of White lives to help Black folk. From the time Lincoln was first elected he wasn't supported by the majority because he was seen as too radically pro-Black for his time, he explicitly said that slavery was wrong, that he would prevent its spread, and that he hoped it would eventually disappear forever and most Americans weren't on that wave yet. He was racist in terms of underestimating Black folk but he wasn't even 1/10th as racist as the vast majority of White folk of his day.

At the time of his death, how many Black folk actually living in America do you think would be fukking stupid enough to believe your claim that the Confederacy and Lincoln were "equally racist"? Do you honestly believe that Black people at the time, North or South, believed that bullshyt?

And how does any of your neoConfederate Lincoln hatred justify you supporting Confederates today, who are clearly flying the flag out of anti-Black prejudice?
