Who knows. Each of the former USSR satellite countries has its own personality, national pride, and means of survival. Some of them roll over and some fight tooth a nail to stay independent. Who knew that Chechens would eventually submit and become part of Russia again (the governor is brutal as fukk when it comes to dissent) but while they fought it was some of the most vicious killing the world has ever seen.
We won’t know what the people of Ukraine will do until they are in that situation. Kiev could be taken but they could always move elsewhere and fight some more. Or they could just hang it up. It also depends on how willing other surrounding states are about continuing to supply them with AT and AA weapons. Romania and Maldova could play a big part in this too, if they get involved.

I never hoped to witness WW3 in my lifetime. I've heard the stories from my mom, dad, and grandparents on what it was like during WW2, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the rest of the Cold War, and Vietnam.
I think what's crazy is after 9/11, Putin was one of the first world leaders to call Bush and express his support for the US and now, here we are, twenty years later, and shyts about to hit the fan.
