This post is riddled with opinions...
1. Too early to say Putin has been outmaneuvered
2. US and Nato is no the "Entire World"...Some see Nato's advancement as long term aggression same as Russia does
3. Nato and US have backed down by categorically saying they aint sending troops after grandstanding the past month as if they would stand with Ukraine
Why would Ukraine think NATO and US would send troops when they aren't part of NATO:jbhmm:

Yea because the US cared about civilian casualties, Russia Doesn’t give 2 shyts

two completely different modes of thinking
both America n Russia say they care about civilians.... u just chose to believe the US media.
Ask the countries where America has been ...Iraq for example, Or communities were drones were dropped
In this case Russia doesn't gain much by hurting the people they tryin to "assimilate"
They will be casualties of coz but i dont believe western media reports on casualties every time its not their war:hubie:

When the cyber war starts I’m sure I’ll be saying the same thing.

Ok, but they've accounted for way more pertaining to cyberwarfare because it's been planned for since 9/11. Yes, there are always openings to exploit but there has been billions in public and private sector spending towards preventing it. If anything, the private sector has benefitted from the pandemic in many ways.

I been lurking but I have to ask, what can we do to stay ahead or possibly prepare for the backlash from this? Weapons, generators, food, medicine? I'm 42 I'm not getting drafted and my kids are too young I'm not worried about them. I took all my money out of stocks.
Serious answers please.

Many of yall know more about their conflict than I do. Whose side should we be on? It looks like most of us are on the Ukrainian side.:jbhmm:
From my understanding and reading. The ukraine was trying to get into nato which would have the west's influence and power right next door to Russia. Ukraine could have then tried to get crimea back and started a war with Russia and have members of nato backing them anyway.

You should be on the side of peace or the side of the west because it's the society that we live in but you can't keep poking the bear and not expect it to bite.

Take this with a grain of salt because I am still reading and trying to understand what's happening. I'm not an expert so do your own research. It's interesting.
