I always wanted this book for the longest and I do NOT KNOW what took me so LOOOOOONG. But I finally copped it on Amazon. Got a fast delivery so I can get it this Friday. Didn't mind my wallet bleeding.

After buying/reading his Black and Science Volume 2 I now had confidence to get his When We Ruled. Not expecting anything new on the Ancient Egyptians since this book came out in 2005, but I HOPE to read some new shyt on Western Sudanic empires, Southern Africa and the Swahili Coast(since most books I tried looking up for the Swahili coast sucks ass). His 100 things you did not know about Africa interested me a lot and I HOPE he goes into details of those listed things. This book has 715 pages!!! And I HOPE its not mostly Ancient Egypt... I want to see stuff I never read...

But man my ass needs to slow down with these book buying. Not gonna have enough money for my teeth implants.:mjcry:

Almost Finished reading this. I feel this is a must read for AA men.

How is this book. I keep seeing MANY people on Amazon talking about it and in good ways,

Debunks a lot of intersectional liberal rhetoric about black men, and also talks about the long history of black male vulnerability. He also calls for black men to be properly studied as group and not using racist stereotypes as inherent defects. Must read imo.

Yeah I'm on page 134 of "When We Ruled." And things are not looking good. Historians should STAY THE HELL away from discussing anthropology. It i NOT their forte.

This is borderline Hidden Colors bad...

Wow....what part didn't you like in particular? (As in which chapter) I owned this book once and the Ancient Egyptian section sucked ass....

The chapter before that. About early humans in Africa. Gonna give a full review when done reading. So far its getting better. But he NEEDS to stay away from anthropology discussions.
