A fantastic reference book that I've had since middle school is The Encyclopedia of African-American Heritage,

I realised I hadn't posted about it before, but this is a fantastic reference.

Drop a few notes on the Kennedy book once you get done, I'm interesting in hearing about that
Ah well I just got finished reading it and would highly recommend. It was very in depth and gave equal justice to the good and the bad about RFK, and made note of both those who adored and loathed him. It also included excellent historical background (which it needed to.). Going in to the book Robert Kennedy was one of my favorite historical figures, and moreso now even. He had his notable flaws such as the involvement in Operation Mongoose and his appointments of judges during his tenure as AG, but as time went on he really adapted and became a great politician. The realism and pragmatism of a conservative yet somehow with the vision and compassion of a liberal. It left me to wonder just how much a better place America might have been if he won in '68, but also appreciative of the efforts he made as AG and a senator. Really one of the more memorable and thought provoking things I've read.

A poster stated this book in another thread and said every black person should read it, so I cop'd it.

"When Rocks Cry Out"

Breh wasn't lying, every black person that's walking on this earth, should read this book.

Good as book, I can't put it down.

Africans were over here in the Americas before anyone.

Egypt was built over here in the Americas 1st, before in Africa

The Aztec come from Africa and were black ppl and found pyramids over here when they arrived in Mexico.

The Cortes Letters and other white scholars Heredouts provide proof of Egyptians being here in the Americas first.

Africans knew whites would try and wipe out their history, thus them leaving their history in the skies, the stars, constellations. The Orion belt etc and other ppl that appear at night.

Egyptians established civilization and built large cities pre-Columbus up and down North and South Americas.

Moses may have led the exodus out of South America instead of Africa

The river of Jordan, may be the Atlantic Ocean...

Still reading but this what I've read thus far. Good Read thus far.

I stopped in my book at that part, so hopefully as I keep reading it, the author would elaborate more on that statement.

Start with this book breh, this a good gem to have and gain knowledge from.

Stars and Constellations, just go from there. Try and find something on that, that black authors have wrote on it. Idk.

Now you have me curious. IF you come across anything, pm me the source or drop it in here.

That was a powerful statement that he stated about what the Africans thought,

Africans knew a great nation may try and wipe and erase their history so they put their history in the sky, with the stars and constellations. Breh.

I'll do some digging after exams. I'll keep you in the loop on what I may find. I haven't heard/read anything THAT interesting in awhile.

Was reluctant to read this at first. But dude provides a lot of sources (both written first-hand accounts and scholarly/secondary sources) + annotations for clarification when necessary, is honest and objective (in respects to Black people) and goes in-depth on our history, not necessarily chronologically, but he works his way through it in a fluid manner.

About half way through it. References a lot of other interesting readings and historical events throughout as well.

Just finished this
Bloods: Black Veterans of the Vietnam War: An Oral History

:wow:

It's all first person stories from Black Vets during Vietnam. One of the stories is what the movie "Dead Presidents" is based off of.
Copping this now. Thanks.
