I'll say this, Nigeria, Lagos in particular is the best training needed for any African country.

The ease in which a Nigerian can adapt to another African nation after living in Nigeria is unparalleled.

A South African, Kenyan, Congolese etc couldn't adapt as quickly.

Either way, I love the African continent.

Going to this Northern Nigerian engagement party tonight of my dad's family friend's son(both partners are Hausa). I'm actually excited to practice my Hausa there and see how they speak compare to the dialect spoken in my family :jbhmm:

Mannn, I really wished I was in Accra for Christmas this year. My cousin over there told me this Christmas was crazy lit compared to previous ones with concerts happening literally every damn day. :francis:

And apparently Idris Elba was spotted several times this week chilling at chop bars in Osu :mjlol:

Now we can all agree that Blues started in the Mississippi Delta around the late 1800s, but this cat right here saying the Bambara was the original. :ohhh: Thoughts?

The similarities are uncanny, but not entirely surprising.

Bro, I'm there with you. Had I planned better this year, I would have done like 3 weeks between Nigeria and Ghana. That whole Christmas on the continent is legit a move now. You even got non-Nigerians/Ghanians getting with the program. Dudes don't know how lit that period is. The festivals, concerts, moves upon moves. A whole congregation of the diaspora just comes back for a 3 week turn-up :ohlawd:

Anyway, I stayed back to prepare for a job interview. If I get it then I'll be heading down to the continent right before I start. I'm leaning South Africa heavily and then a week in Nigeria.

Either way, I do know I'll be in Nigeria for 2019 Christmas, so I may just do 2 weeks between SA, Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya.

We'll see.

Can't wait till I'm back on the continent full time. There's so much growth going on right now. I definitely want to part of the push forward.

In due time.

Indeed. Plane ticket prices go through the roof a month in advance. It's a hustle trying to plan everything :russ:

It's an amazing experience though everytime. I'm hoping to make it in Ghana next year Christmas.

I'm also planning in visiting a few other countries earlier this coming summer. Mostly I'm planning for Senegal, Nigeria(my grandmother is from Kwara State) , and Kenya

I have to make to Nigeria for next Christmas. No ifs ands or buts. I'm taking as much time as I'm allotted.

Senegal I've heard is quite cool. Very peaceful as well.
If you get to Naija just make sure you get to Lagos or you're dulling yourself
Kenya is also a good time as well. I do wish I had gone during a different time. I went during their peak rainy season and some nights were just awful. Met some cool cats down there though.
