Does anyone think that black writers are more responsible for culture than other artists? In the way that they can create a narrative similar to the way white writers have thar lionizes their heroes or accomplishments?

Here is a song, well known to Africans, which shows the persistence of the semantax. It is indeed about semantax because the award here is even in French. Any African understands that the phrase "your foot of the foot, Anisha, for eternity": " Where you are (stand) , I will be with you for eternity ". Not only the equation foot = place but also the use of a substantive for a verb (" to be").

Was reading something about the Ozark Music Festival of '74 the other night. I'm always amazed at how white folks are able to act like degenerates during their younger years then just go home, build a family and be woven into the fabric of the establishment like nothing happened.

To add on to my last post in here, I often wonder how the next great black power will come about :ehh: Will it be from a conqueror, or a mutual amalgamation of the African states?

In better news, just bought a book about the Harlem Renaissance. Can't wait to learn more about one of my fav. periods of all time

My homie is stressin me the fukk out. He's 34 years old. His parents are from Nigeria. He's been there multiple times, so it's not like he doesn't know where he comes from.

This dude is soft as fukk. The most inoffensive way I can describe him is non-confrontational and dangerously optimistic and hopeful.

He's literally one of these dudes that are like " We need to talk to these people " and "we need to vote the bad people out of office." He thinks all of the issues with race and equality, the legal system, discrimination can just be voted away.

He's literally one of these dudes that does walks and prayers, he just wants to talk to someone. He's seen the pictures of white men in full body armor and he's like "We need to talk to them, we definitely don't need to be armed. If we arm ourselves that'll escalate the situation."

Dude is beyond Wild. Other than politics he believes that Kap isn't signed, not due to politics but because he wasn't playing well.

He's the homie. We hit the gym 3 times a week religiously, so I appreciate him for that but over the last 3 months talking to this dude about anything stresses me the fukk out. This nikka will eat 5 wendys burgers and I'm like "we're gonna hit the gym in 3 hours...." (We work together and hit the gym after work.)

Other than the eating bad, and his false beliefs and loves of peaceful protests and prayers he's a nice guy but my God.

He can acknowledge wrong but for every wrong, ie the deaths of philando, Tamir, and everyone else (who is black and was killed), he always has some shyt to say like "Well here is what Tamir could have done and he would still be alive...." "Here is what Philando should have done......."

I'm like nikka philando had a ccw in his own car..."Well you know it's not a good environment to be in possession of a firearm around police during this time especially with what's been happening..."

"A kid like Tamir shouldn't go near a gun, toy or not because when people see that they don't know how to respond..."

I keep telling him that his unwillingness to physically stand up either by possessing arms and knowing how to use them or verbally by telling someone else they are wrong and holding them fully accountable is going to get him lynched. And while hanging at the end of a noose a white supremacist is going to say "You got any last words boy?" And he's going to say "Well I believe that I'm getting lynched because you and I are so focused on our differences rather than finding a common ground , that you have little choice but to respond with violence and by my not responding to your violent actions with violent actions of my own, I'll in turn show the other people watching this lynching that there are other ways to approach and react to a situation rather than using violence and hopefully in future altercations violence won't be used at all."

He will always look for excuses. He is 34 years old and still looking for excuses because he doesn't want to face reality. If he did he'd have to do something about it, so he just writes those injustices off as the victim should have 'complied' or been more 'non-threatening'. You're already stressed, and you can hit up the gym by yourself. If he is causing you more stress than alleviating stress, then drop him.

What would he say if you got shot by a cop? :sas2:

@nikkahs B. Wildin tell your boy to stop c00ning :francis: at most have him watch Hidden colors 1-4 and if he says some c00n shyt after that... :francis:

Hidden colors is good. I took African American history with an actual black professor who was in his 60's when he taught me. A lot of his stuff was "off the books" but he gave us sources which were some of the same authors and books that are mentioned in hidden colors. Theres definitely some :duck: and foolishness but the good info outweighs the bad. He's one of those people, he might hear it but he won't believe it and if it makes sense and is true he wouldn't implement or consider it, just stuck in his ways/beliefs.

I already know I would get blamed. Ive told him many times he cant control the actions of others but he insists on saying things like "I'll do whatever I can to...." And he routinely says things like "nothing good happens after 11pm" and "if your in this part of town...."

I've been reading up on cointelpro and it's becoming more apparent that black people in america are really victims of psychological warfare through the media using black faces.

A lot racial strife happening in the west may benefit Africa in the long run as long as we play our collective cards right
