which got me thinking. Transformers is missing a real team of Spike types we care about. If you plug in the fast and furious team with hobbs, idris and Shaw. Now you have the convincing and relatable human connection.
missing in transformers, that needs and lacks in the film genre piece from bay.

he was never spike as in the feel of the character from cartoon.
yet he was the spike type but still not spike.
I never saw shia actually growing Into the role. Where as if he was still around. I could not see him being an adult.
like how spike was in transformers the movie and POST transformers the movie with his son. With the ff guys. You can pull that human foil to the tranformers trope. that is missing from the movie. That was done expertly well in the cartoon.
Transformers problem is it spends too much time.
trying to get the human to bot connection right. When it needs to plug in the ff guys we care about.
then go from there.
