ehh.. i dunno about the thread title.. but the rockets are going to beast this year. i stayed up watchin that 2nd matchup with the pacers the other night and that harden/dwight/parsons trio got that sick chemistry developing. It's only preseason but dwight is lookin healthier and closer to his orlando magic self in movement, ups and speed. He's learned or is trying to implement a couple different misdirection pivot moves and spins when he gets the ball (hasn't been too successful with it so far.. you could argue that he's been getting hacked a lot tbf though) but its obvious he's still going to be a face-up, jab step and drive type of player this year. He's an underrated and willing passer though, and does a great job of securing his man behind him deep in the paint when they transition from defense to offense (the guards do a decent job of feedin him the ball when he does this but they gotta be faster and crisper with the entry or its gonna be alotta 3 sec violations).
Harden is beasting, parsons is underrated. don't really have an opinion on the beverly vs lin thing just yet (or whether the starting pg spot is up for grabs). But its just that Asik/power forward spot that got me
i do want to see asik and dwight in at the same time b/c what they have out there starting is pretty damn good as is, so if asik can come in on some twin tower shyt then they gonna be
Granted, its gonna be some awkward situations this season with both of them when they play a san antonio, GS or any of those other teams that are liberal with the hack a shaq strategy. but still, its gonna be a fun season.

yea it was a good showing. lin had the start over beverly b/c it was his homecoming and i believe they had beverly start the last game.. which was the game i didn't really get to see b/c i forgot they were on completely different timezones.
lin was hitting shots though and i'm not quite sure if the starting pg spot is up for grabs or whether mchale was just experimenting with beverly.. but i haven't gotten to see patrick really play out there with dwight and em yet as the main guard. i be trying to look for the relevant things, like controlling the temple, swinging the ball around and throwing the lob when the post defender is fronting dwight, what that pick and roll is looking like, are they patient enough for the post repost, etc.. you know, the bball iq shyt they'll have to show in "serious" games vs contenders... but sometimes when the 3s are falling and things are going their way lol, it is what it is

its on comcast sportsnet (CSN) houston.. which is like channel 39 for me.. which is different from fox sports (FS) houston, which in my area is channel 37. I had a couple coworkers tell me that they don't have the csn houston channel tho or that they gotta order it or something. i dunno
