That's what I thought, so it may be too soon to throw him into the bushes :birdman:

I totally forgot the Rockets had signed Casspi ... Marc Stein is probably a Rockets fan now :troll:
Did u watch him play last year. He has no blance and lack physicality. He doesn't know how to read the ball of the rim or get in rebounding position. And for euro, he can't shoot(consistently). Did you see the way Hakeem was looking at him last night like he wants to strangle him for wasting his time training him. He gets pushed around when fighting for rebound position and playing defense.

He has touch in the paint but doesn't utilize it to his advantage.

Went through the game on the dvr and I don't want to overreact to some pre season game but cotdamn we looked good:wow:

I thought Lin looked comfortable and possibly a little quicker. He should be at his healthiest right now. Beverly was on Holiday like white on rice in a styrofoam cup full of milk sitting on a paper plate about to be consumed by a polar bear sitting on a glacier in a snowstorm in the north pole. Really the backcourt trio of Harden, Lin, and Beverly looked great defensively. These 3 seem to compliment each others strengths/weaknesses nicely and hopefully this defensive intensity carries over long term. It looks like the addition of Dwight seems to have added another layer of motivation for James to improve at least defensively. He looked to be in better shape too. I've been skeptical of calling him a top 10 player but perhaps this year he cements his place.

Idk who Asik gets traded for. Our defense is awful when neither he/Dwight are in. I know everyone wants to trade for a pf, but Asik is extremely important and I don't think Morey is in a rush to deal him tbh.

Between D-Mo, Jones and Casspi I think we might be alright at pf at least for now. Apparently I like D-Mo more than others. Again only one pre season game but it looks like he might fit in with the starters better. He seems to be trying to fit in with them first and foremost as opposed to trying to get his. I thought he rebounded pretty well, found guys for the assist (and "hockey assists" if they were counted), and his team defense was better than expected. Thought he passed up chances but that probably goes back to him trying so hard to fit in. I think Jones' game might fit in with the backups more even though he might be ahead of D-Mo right now. He looks for his own shot more than D-Mo, his shot blocking is a better fit next to Asik as opposed to Dwight, and his team defense may not be on D-Mo's level right now (although his individual defense certainly is ahead). Still time to get this shaken out and I'm glad we have both because they are 2 flawed players right now. Casspi might close games out here but I don't see him starting. I also think Asik gets a shot here too as it would solve the problems of us needing a pf and Asik getting his minutes cut. I know most think Asik-Dwight on the court together is ridiculous but I want to see it for myself before I agree. I actually think Asik would get the power forwards in this scenario since he might be quicker laterally and Dwight is a better rim protector. Offensively Asik has a decent jumper when he's shown it. The ability to put any of these 4 at pf does a lot for the team's versatility.

Who gets cut y'all? I believe we have 2 more to go after Henriquez and Kelly. Covington? Williams? Brewer? Brooks? Camby? Smith gets traded? We keep Brooks then we can stash Canaan and Brooks can play in a small ball lineup. Brewer can't shoot but we need someone that can defend on the perimeter. They seem to like Covington so idk if Morey wants to give up his rights when he stashes him in the d-league.

Yes it is. Dude has no game. He tries to play like he's Kevin Durant but can't do it. He either needs to learn his place as a 7 footer or leave.

I like the idea of Lin off the bench. He's not a spot up shooter that they're making him in the starting lineup. He's a slasher, penetrator type. You seen it in the clip above. Jeremy Lin shoots 67% at the rim. That's top 5 for pg. He needs to come up the bench with Asik and Terence jones and attack off the pick n roll.
