We were lucky to be born at a time where technology wasn't so developed that it made music less profitable. If they had music making apps and algorithms to decide what to make and promote in the 80s, best believe the corporations would've done it.

The thing is, do these kids really even WANT a spectacular musical talent?
It's also arguable to say that kids who can make a hit beat in a few seconds and song a in a few hours AREN'T talented.

The thing is, back in the day if you wanted to create these songs you needed:
Studio time
Expensive Equipment
Expensive musical instruments
etc.
Now the world can do all that with a laptop and a phone.
Instead of buying that piece of expensive equipment, you can get the software replica free:
That's a big factor here and billions of people can flood the market compared to only a few hundred or thousand people who can afford all that.
Instead of spending $3k on a Jupiter or Juno, the average kid can get the emulation for free and even your advanced listener wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
Up until last decade, the music industry was gatekept before behind hundreds of thousands to million dollars of equipment.
Lady Gaga's The Fame Monster album produced by Nadir Khayat (Red One) basically proved you can make an incredible album 100% in a computer.
It's funny now when you see studio sessions you see an $800 laptop on top of millions of dollars of unused equipment:
If you want something to blame, blame tech.
