Do yall understand the musicianship it takes to craft a dope bridge??

That Robin Thicke "I Wanna Love You" bridge:wow:

That Ashlee Simpson one @ 6:18 is :ohlawd: what song is that??

On the cool, and I'm not saying this as hyperbole, I firmly believe that "The Neptunes" propelled Justin Timberlake to SUPERSTARDOM!

They gave him HEAT on "Justified"

Them and Timbo. They both laced him on the first album, and Tim been feeding him heat on all his other projects.

So no one's gonna tell me what a bridge is?

Is it the lead in to the chorus,or something?

The Neptunes

it aint the same without chad hugo

thank you!!!!!
finally someone else who sees it and gets it :myman:
dap and +rep @DeVanteSwing :salute:

is kenna albums and different projects with his daniel bitmore the only thing chad hugo is really workin' on these days though? :dwillhuh:

it's crazy how along pharrell, chad was one of the most popular producers in the game over a decade but now you hardly ever see bruh. then again, he was never as in front of the camera as pharrell was. i guess because now that his money is good, he probably only does the music when he wants too and enjoys workin' on a much more indie scale of things which probably is reminiscent of how it use to be before he got into business and when it was strictly all about the music

"Cry Me A River" propelled Justin into super stardom. Futuresex/Lovesounds solidified him. Still, the heat The Neptunes gave him is undeniable.

agreed...but listen to the bridges on the various songs it it will become clear that he uses the same chord progression alot and he has a thing for 7th in his bridges, you can interchange bridges and they would not be out of key.Not to shyt on P,i am a fan but he is one of the most blatant jackers in recent momeory. This dude listened to a lot of 70/80's music and if you know music you can trace his inspiriation back to whole chords sections and some straight up jacking of 70'/80'ss funk, rock and pop.Listen to some MJ/Slave/Isley brothers records and get back to me

This is almost the music industry summed up in one post.

The public will eventually get tired of our mega stars today and our sounds. Then in 30 years a young singer will sound like Beyonce (after studying her), throw some of the era's signature sounds on the track and because the youth at that time may not be familiar with any of this, everybody going to lose their shyt.

The target 18-24 year olds always stay the same age.

Chad and Kenna produced the Ashlee Simpson track.

And yeah people always say Pharrell but Chad is the genius behind most of these. When Chad took some time off, the neptunes sounds went away with him.
Now dont get me wrong P is a musical genius too and he can write some dope ass melodies and shyt.
But Chad man.... :wow:

Well they need to do more music together for old time sake.

When i heard So many pros by Snoop i just KNEW that Chad was involved somehow. You can feel th3 difference.

Ive been a Neptunes stan since i heard oh no by NORE :dead:

It's funny because I subconsciously learned what you just posted when the more I listened to "Sooner or Later" from their album Seeing Sounds. Everytime I'd listen to that song I'd realize that it's a small portion of that song that just stands out from everything else:
"It all comes crashing down~~!" :ohlawd:

You put what I instinctively felt into more technical terms. Thanks fam :wow:

*Pharrell I need a new N*E*R*D* album that's similar to Seeing Sounds.*

Back on topic. Neptunes is that shyt forreal. They got some of the illest bridges ever. Props to Pharrell for having hidden tracks on his albums.

+10. I co-sign this post 100% especially the bold:

No need to say "back on topic" because Seeing Sounds features some of the best bridges I've ever heard in ALL of music. The instrumentation in general on that album is on some otherworldly, next level type shyt.

Pharrell is one of the greatest musical geniuses in modern history.

Everyone always mentions Pharrell and says nothing about Chad.... "The Real Genius"

no shade at Skateboard, he's still dope and every group needs a front man...
