The question must be asked: Is Ladd McConkey better than Marvin Harrison Jr?

People are now saying MHJ who was called a generational talent can now NOT get any seperation on the field? :mjlol:

That and also he not aggressive and maybe soft.

He could have ran into Will Johnson to break up the interception but just stopped

Maybe could have done the same so Rod Moore wouldn't pick the ball off

As I say in every thread about prospects, they have never been able to predict generational talents!!!

Generational is a marketing term not a scouting term, we gotta stop letting them say this stuff because it's only going to color how we see them and end up disappointed.

I knew Brock was generational after his first year at a Georgia

The crds offense is more of a power running spread play action offense
They looking to pound the rock with Connor
Kyler get some read options

The offense not really ser up for throwing it around a lot

Plus kyler fav target is Trey McBride whose a good ts

They're using MHJ as a decoy, his average depth of target is crazy. This allows McBride to eat. He's got like 120 targets and 90 receptions so far this year

Bigger problem is McConkey is only a #1 right now, I know dude is a rookie but you can’t let that guy be your main target. That’s a reliable 2nd option like a Keenan Allen replacement. They still need the outright “stud” on offense.

Chargers are definitely looking to give Herbert a better, more elite weapon this offseason whether that be a WR or TE. You don’t win Super Bowls because your primary is Edelman, you win because you got Gronk. Pretty sure the front office knows that.

So getting outshined by someone on that tier ain’t a good look with all the hype.

McConkey is a baller but I think Marvin Jr will get it together, his usage has been a bit odd

They should be using him like Ceedee for example

Can't be denied that he hasn't been as secure with the ball as he should be though

McConkey has put out the best tape of any WR selected in the latest draft, if Chargens can get another high caliber WR to pair with him like say Tee Higgins then they'll be cooking for real

MHJ has been bad. As much as everyone has been trying to bend over backwards to make it Kyler’s fault, dude is never open.

There was one play earlier in the year where MHJ came out of a break late open and Kyler didn’t see it. Play got clipped and went viral like “see, this is why he isn’t getting targets!” Haven’t seen any of those since though.

Ladd McConkey is just a professional

He was nasty at Georgia and he's in a great spot

He'll be a core member of that Charger team for years to come

Marvin Harrison Jr has a video game, Coli, Arcadium midget as his QB and he plays for the Cardinals

God Speed to the young man :mjcry: :salute:
