Marvel universe is jokes. These nikkas walk around with life threatening injuries like their stomach aches
even the fukking psychiatrist have superhuman recovery
The fight scene between madani and the therapist was fukkin ridiculous.....Therapist ho spends all her days reading and they got her throwing blows like she john wick. Who taught this bytch how to bob and weave
But either way, Madani should be ashamed of herself. She been through crazy amounts of self defense training and she let a nerd bytch low key give her the beats. Therapist had her ass squealing like a pig when she put that knife to her. If it wasn't for the size advantage madani woulda taken a savage beating. Therapist woulda made sure it was a closed casket. Billy woulda just walked in to the sight of his new wifey raining down fists on madani's dome piece. Then they woulda done some wild shyt like start fukking over her body.
But for real, Billy is that dude. He completely mindfukked two dimes. One of which was a fukkin therapist......how are you scarred up and prolly legally retarded and you turn your therapist into a ratchet bytch?.....Billy's game is a level we've never seen before. He forgot damn near everything about himself except how to finesse these ho's. That's how you know that shyt was god given. You can't teach that. He shot madani in the head and she was still sprung. You could see it in her eyes

The funniest shyt had to be when Billy was talking about killing Frank's family.
Billy: "alright let's say I really did kill his wife and kids. Ok. shyt happens. My bad. But that doesn't give you the right to fukk with my face. That's just pure evil"
That shyt had me ........the writing on this show is so god damn terrible that it's fukkin brilliant. If you aren't watching this show high as fukk, you're missing out on a truly wonderful experience.
Finished this last night. I think the season's first three episodes were arguably the strongest opening three episodes out of all the Marvel shows. I got goosebumps in episode 3 when
The lights were taken out at the police department and Pilgrim & the mercenaries marched through the woods with their rifles in tow. It genuinely felt menacing and their mystery made them incredibly sinister.
The first three episodes set a great tone but unfortunately, the show went into a rut after they went back to NY. I would have loved to see them take a chance and switch it up, and more importantly, I think they fell into the same problem DDS2 did, which is
Attenpting to do too much. Point blank period, we didnt need Russo AND Pilgrim/The Schultz family. They crammed two arcs that could have easily been the focal point of an entire season by themselves, and the narrative suffered for it, imo. It's the same thing with DDS2 where they had a great setup with Frank as the antagonist but they also wanted to fit in The Hand, Elektra, and undead ninjas for 'The Defenders' arc. As good as I think he did, they didnt need Russo in order to get Frank back to NY. You already have David Schultz there if you need to get him back to the city.
As a guy that's been a Punisher stan since 5th grade, they missed the mark on the ending. With Pilgrim, especially...
Sympathetic story or not, there's no way Frank Castle allows John to walk. None. Yeah, there were parallels between the two men in that they loved their families more than they loved themselves, with Frank empathizing once he realizes John is simply doing what he never got the chance to, which is attempting to save them. I think that's great writing. A great villain isn't just moustache twirling evil for the sake of it. You can "get" their motivations while also realizing why they have to be stopped. That said, he went too far.
He massacred children. He shot at and attempted to kill cops. He's terrorized a young girl that has given Frank an opportunity to be a father again. For all of the empathy Frank would have for his story, THE PUNISHER is never looking past that. Pilgrim would have to be punished for his actions in Castles mind. At best, Frank would ensure the Schultz money ended up benefitting those kids via David and would guarantee Pilgrim their safety, but he's ending John's life 100% of the time. Him sparing him was too uncharacteristic to look past, especially when the entire theme of the season was Castle accepting his role as The Punisher.
The ending scene wasn't the "fukk yeah!"
Moment they were going for either, considering
Most of those gang members looked barely 19. They looked like common degenerate bangers that sell dime bags, and while Frank has mowed down plenty of gangbangers, it's a big reach to convince me those knuckleheads were so out if control that Frank would waste the bullets. Unless they've massacred innocents, I'm not seeing it, and given how inept they looked, it's hard for me to believe the cops themselves wouldn't have already arrested them or put them six under. The Schultz dinner with Frank coming alone to finish them off in the same manner he did only decked out in The Punisher gear would have been more poignant and fitting. "I'll dance with you," after the corny bickering just felt...off. It looked more like the start of MJ's "Bad" or "Beat It" than an actual pending shootout. Just more satirical than bad ass.
I love my baby Amber Revah but they pussied out on her death, imo. Shes beautiful but her story should have been over. Her obsession should have killed her, while simultaneously bringing closure as her bullets were the bullets that were killing Russo. He was going to die and was on borrowed time. Frank simply expedited that process
Not trying to focus on the negatives as there were s lot of positives too, but whereas I ended season one like I ended season two like Its funny since I started season 1 like & season 2 like but it is what it is. The highs this season were better than the highs from season one, but the lows were lower. Too much focus on side characters & not enough on Frank's acceptance of his role as The Punisher and that he's at peace with being a wolf that hunts wolves. The show missed Micro imo, and I have a disconnect with Rachel since to me, she didnt look nearly as young as they portrayed her. She was the only miscast. Shes 21 in real life and to me, she looked it. The action sequences were vastly improved. Meanwhile, Bernthal killed it as usual & both villains owned their roles, with the actor who played John Pilgrim especially knocking it out of the park. All in all, solid enough season but I dont think I'll be compelled to rewatch it anytime soon like I did with Season one. 6.5/10 for me as a whole.
Edit: I'll add a .5 to the rating since Curtis got some shine. Dude put in work this season and may have been the most likeable character in the show. Plus, my dog was knocking down a baddie with a prosthetic leg. You cant do anything but salute
only redeeming shyt about this is shane's acting, homeland security broads face and these fight scenes. story goes all the way to hell after new york... Shane still GOAT punisher after Dolph
