The Punisher - Season 2 (Official Thread/Jan. 18th)

Madani looked great in season one, but somehow she looks even better this season. Straight up divinity.

I'm only up to episode 5. Bernthal is Frank Castle, man. I'm a huge Punisher fan and I love his take on Castle more than any other I've seen on film. It's the subtle things but yo, that fight at the end of episode one in the bathroom had me like Breh is a firm believer of equal rights & lefts. nikkas think they're hard on hoes. They have no clue My wife got uncomfortable when he totaled out the bathroom stall and hit me with a, " That's disgusting." Gave her the and hit rewind.


Episode 3 is my favorite thus far, and the anticipated slow crawl came as expected in episode 4. I'll try to knock out episode 5 tonight but so far, I'm really digging this season.


Edit: They can rationalize and explain it all they want, but I'm not a fan at all of Billy's face. shyt took a lot away from that final scene in season one. You dont have to make him a cartoon character but his face should absolutely tell a much more vivid and gruesome story. Very underwhelming reveal.

Dude got distracted by that young white flesh and she just Diddy Bopping around as a nurse
Then you got all this commotion and no cops show up to the room
I knew the dude in the morgue had a foot fetish
The first time Karen wasn’t the most annoying character on screen

I love the idea of Krista and what she represented for Frank and what he represented for her, but they didn't do the narrative work to get it there. There was probably a way to tie Krista into the Billy narrative or at least make that subplot better. Because every scene with Krista and Frank was dope as hell..

Their relationship kind of reminded me of Rayland and Loretta's relationship on Justified.

Yup that’s exactly who I was thinking of although raylan didn’t have that whole “you’re replacing my daughter” vibe. Raylan just needed someone to look after and give the guidance he wishes he had as a kid since his dad was clearly a piece of shyt

My favorite part is when billy keeps insisting all season that he loves frank, then is finally told that he killed Frank’s family and instead of showing any reaction or asking any questions...he goes “yeah but what he did to me wasn’t honorable and it was cruel!”



Either bad writing or billy’s Narcissism but it was funny either way.

At billy asking zero questions about why he’d murder his best friend’s family and no questions from his crazy ass therapist either. I don’t get her motivations st all BTW but I did predict they’d be fukking in the first scene I saw them in.

I haven't watched any other Marvel Netflix shows in a couple years. Karen has a thing for Frank, right? When did that get established? Season 1 or sometime on Daredevil? I either don't remember or missed whatever it was on.

I wish they had explored Billy coming to terms with the fact that he killed Frank's family. They breezed right over it. There was never a moment where he had any denial, or self-doubt, or asked any questions about it. I know he's a psychopathic narcissist, but the fact that he never questioned it once and they never addressed it after Madani told him in her apartment threw me for a loop.

I like that John Pilgrim survived and Frank helped him get his sons back.
