The dogs with dreadlocks is what really grinded my gears. Just so unnecessary and ridiculous.

The only jokes in the first one I can really think of were the couple Shane black p*ssy jokes and I guess the “I don’t have time to bleed/do you have time to duck” lines.

Yep and those lines flowed perfectly with the dialogue and tone of the film. With these new films everything seems so forced.

Was I the only one who liked the Predator dogs.
And yall are talking about the kid,but one of the last predators I saw they killed a little kid in the opening scene and even had a alien burst through the kids chest.
This is going to be one of the best action flicks this year and I won't let thecoli ruin this one

Yall know damn well why this can't be like the first film,no big name lead actor is going to take this film. Plus this is 2018,people would say its not enough action. People don't go to movies to see physcology and wouldn't feel fear of the predator anymore.

watched p2 yesterday. movie is criminally underrated and head and shoulders above every alien/predator movie not named predator/alien/aliens

i seriously doubt this movie will compare to p2. all things aside, that flicked added great mythos to the series ie. alien skull, respect for prey, ancient aliens (i know they did a comic on the 1715 gun but it was originally put in to set a movie in theb past with old flintlocks n rifles, new weaponry, continuation of the black ops story in 1, gore, king willy/el scorpio, the crazy one liners.

Yes! And not just Arnold. You rooted for Mac and Billy, etc. you knew the other characters and the movie was about them. Same with alien. You rooted for Ripley, but in the first one she wasn’t even the clear main character until closer to the end. And in aliens everyone wanted to see her, newt, hicks, Hudson, Vasquez, etc, survive. And Burke was a villain.

The actual monsters weren’t even the main focus of the early predator and alien movies and actually didn’t have all that much screen time.

I would argue that the monsters are far less interesting than they’re made out to be, and what makes them interesting becomes less cool the more you learn about their origins. I don’t want to know how the alien came to be. It’s scarier when it’s just a horrifying lovecraftian space rape monster.

I cant believe nobody called the Rock for this shyt... Jason statham... somebody with a name and some action to get busy with... then about 5 more of them type of actors.. semi famous to "i know that guy" type actors, all from the action genre

should have been expendables with the predator mixed in and less jokes and more action... i ask all the time.. how do so many people fukk up these stories. it seems so fukking simple
