Imo it looks bad when you have someone you have positioned as one of the top two wrestlers in your company (2 top titles), lose in less than 10 seconds while defending. It it basically say his run was a fluke, and he was a sham the whole time.

They did that to boost Brock's stock for what? A feud with Cain fukkin Velasquez, followed by Rey Mysterio....

Well they shouldn't give the title to secondary talent. Edge never drew a dime and you can see that now. Kofi shouldn't have won the title either. Raw didn't need a second world title that we all know is not the world title.

A win vs Brock is still big.

Kofi has no chest, is 160, and looks like a peanut beside Brock. Ain't no damn way it shoulda gone more than 3 minutes.

Seth been champ for months and he vs Kofi in a shoot is a wash. Seth also beat Brock in like 5 mins to open a Mania

Hated it then and hate it now. They could have at least did some sort of one-sided mauling for the storytelling aspect. Kofi fighting for his life, while Brock goes 0 to demonic. Something to give the fans some sort of emotional distress, which leads to folks really wanting Cain to murder Bork.

Doesn't make it any better, but once people accept that a lot of what WWE does/did is basically chasing the "Hogan Slams Andre" moment ... things get easier.

Kofi's payoff was winning at Mania in the eyes of the WWE. The rest of that shyt is mere cherry on top.
